The two maps present the current layout of Southwest Airport and how it will be altered during refurbishment next year.
Overall, according to the two layouts, after the redevelopment, not only will the space of the airport be enlarged, but the services provided by the airport will also be upgraded.
As shown in the present plan, the main part of the airport consists of the departure hall and the arrival hall. In the departure hall, the check-in site can be seen on the left side, while a café is on the right. Opposite the entrance of the two halls are the security with passport control and customs with passport control. There are currently eight boarding gates, and passengers can make their way to their corresponding gate along the walkway.
According to the future layout, the most obvious change is that the boarding area will be expanded into a Y-shaped construction with 18 boarding gates and a sky train system. As for the departure hall, the check-in site will be relocated to the opposite side to make room for a bag-drop area, while the café can be seen in the bottom left corner of the hall.
