The plans demonstrate the place of an airport now and how it will change after reconstruction next year.

Overall, the biggest changes in the airport are expected to be the expansion of the gates and the addition of facilities.

Regarding gates in the north, they are projected to double in number. Currently, airport has only 8 gates and in the future it’s planned that there will be 18, and they will divide into two sides, having 9 gates in each side. Moreover, the walkway is predicted to be replaced by a sky train.

As for departures, it is anticipated to place shops ahead of security passport control. Meanwhile, the check in is expected to be removed to make way for the construction of a bag drop. The cafe is projected to be replaced by a check in and relocated to the south-west corner. In addition, departure entries are predicted to be enlarged.

As regards arrivals, it is planned to establish new facilities such as cafe, ATM and car hire. Likewise, arrival entrances are projected to expand.
