The two plans illustrate the difference and development of the airport site, both as it currently stands and as it will be after the planned upgrades next year. Overall, it is clear that the number of gates will greatly increase following the renovations.
Initially, the check-in area will be relocated to where the café currently is, and a bag drop area will be established in place of the existing check-in zone. The café will be moved to the southwest side of the departures area. Additionally, the empty space in the arrivals section will be transformed to include various services such as car hire, ATMs, and a café, positioned in the eastern part of this section. With this change, the number of cafés at the airport will effectively double.
Although there is currently no shopping center, one will be constructed after the security and passport control point. At the northern end of the airport, there are presently eight gates; however, this number will increase to a total of 18 after the upgrades are completed. The final change in the plan is the removal of the existing walkway, which will be replaced by a sky train, providing a more efficient option for passengers
