The given map shows the development that the south wing underwent from 2008 to 2012.
Overall, the south wing was added several floors to accommodate more facilities, such as restaurant, self-service room and children play area. One noticeable feature was the installment of a new lift and terrace to enhance accessibility within the building. It is also apparent that the area for shop and special exhibition room was expanded throughout the two year surveyed.
In 2008, the south wing was divided into 5 main areas, namely special exhibition room, reception, shop, cloaks room and a reading room. There was a stair case for customers to access to the second floor of the building. It was clear that the south wing was equipped with fundamental facilities for its operation.
Turning to 2012, the building to the far-most from the entrance was upgraded to be a four-story construction while its adjacent one was added a floor dedicated to restaurants. In addition, a children play area occupied the place previously owned by cloaks room while the reception and cloaks room shared a room in the middle building. Moreover, a new exhibition and self-service room was arranged on the third and fourth floor, respectively in the highest building. Move to the left of the map, there was a newly-built terrace leading to the entrance hall.
