The line graph represents changes in the population of five different cities, namely, Teheran, New York City, Beijing, Moscow, and Lagos, from 1970 to 2025.
Overall, in New York City and Moscow, the population stabilized and increased, whereas in Tehran and Lagos, the population gradually increased.
Lagos started with the lowest populations, about 1 million in 1970. Then it significantly increased nearly 19 million from 1975 to 2025. In Tehran, in 1970, the populations increased almost 3 million. However, it increased and remained stable at nearly 9 million from 1975 to 2025. In 1979, New York City started with the highest populations among the other four cities, approximately 8 million. However, it decreased and became around 7 million in 1975. Then the New York City populations decreased and remained stable becoming almost, 8 million from 1980 to 2025.
In Moscow , populations gradually increased around 8 million to 13 million from 1970 to 2025. At last, in Beijing city, started highest population rate around 8 million.However, it decreased nearly 11 million to 6 million from 1990 to 1995. Then Beijing city populations sharply increased and became slightly above 25 million from 2000 to 2025.
