The line graph illustrates changes in the monetary value (price per ounce) of three selected precious metals between 2013 and 2021. An initial analysis reveals that Palladium showed a higher increase in value over the period analyzed.
Overall, while Gold and Palladium exhibited increased value, platinum experienced a slight decline.
Palladium started at the least valuable price of 700 S per once, dropping from 2013 to 2016 to approximately 600 S. After that, it rose significantly to 1000 S by 2018, peaking as the most valuable precious metal in 2021 at nearly 2500 S. In contrast, Platinum began as the highest-priced metal in 2013 at 1500 S per oz, but steadily decreased from 2014 onwards, ending at 1000 S by 2021.
Meanwhile, Gold started at around 1500 S per oz in 2013, and dipped slightly until 2015 to just over 1000 S. However, it maintained a relatively stable value from 2016 to 2018 with approximately 1300 S, and then afterwards exhibited a significant increase from 2019 to 2021, reaching almost 1700 S per oz.
