The flowchart outlines the steps involved in processing of obtaining a driver’s licence in the US.
In general, the process of getting a license involves two main stages including the written and road assessment.
Initially, the process begins when people who want to get a driver’s license go to the driving license center. To commence, a license taker needs to fill in the forms such as name, date or emails before checking an eyesights test. Right after this, if individuals fail in this stage, they do not have a license. By contrast, passing the test takes eyesight, and people move to the next step which is to pay fees.
Following this, candidates have the written exam to decide how individuals can continue to the next stage. If people do not reach the required score the first time, they must retake the written exam and after getting a passing score in this exam, people would go to the road exam which decides whether or not to have a license. Also, if people fail again in the first retake, they have a second chance to retake before doing the road exam in case they ace the test. Consequently, if candidates do not pass in two the written exam retaking, they must turn round to pay fees. When the previous steps are done, the next step comes in the exam to drive a car on the road. If people do not qualify, they will have to go back to the pay fees stage before taking the other tests and in case they get a passing score, candidates obtain the driving license.
