The illustration presents the process of conversion from bamboo plants to fabric.
Overall, the diagram follows a linear multi sequence consisting of eight stages. The process begins with planting then Harvesting bamboo plants and ends with the fabrication of apparel using the fabric which under went through mechanical and chemical processing.
Initially, different type of bamboos culms are planted in early spring. These crops are harvested by the local farmers manually before the autumn frost sets in. After being harvested, bamboo stalks are chopped and mechanically crushed in order to extract raw pulp. To enable further processing, filtration method is practiced enabling the separation of longitudinal fibers from liquid. The cellulose material undergoes a softening treatment where a chemical solution consisting of water and organic solvent is introduced. Subsequently, a yarn thread is produced via spinning process and then is woven to construct the final fabric which is later turned into a range of clothing items.
