The process diagram illustrates how coconut oil is mass-produced.
Overall, there are 10 steps in the process of mass manufacturing coconut oil. The process begins with harvesting coconuts and ends with delivery.
The process starts with collecting coconuts from trees at the best timing. After coconuts are harvested they are dehusked in half for the next step which is grating. While grating steps, coconut chunks are thrown into the grater and collected from the bottom of the machine. Next the small coconut pieces are weighted on a scale. After this step coconuts are laid on a drying table under the sun.
Subsequently, dried coconuts are transferred to a hydraulic press to get the extract of the coconut which will be transformed into coconut oil. The press machine presses from top and the extract is collected from the bottom of the machine. Then the extract is poured into a tank and heated so the impurities are removed and the coconut oil is clarified. The next step before packing is filtering. Finally the coconut oil is packed in various kind of bottles and jars and ready for shipping.
