The given process illustrates the various stages involved in the mass production of coconut oil.
In general, it is a man-made linear process comprised of 10 distinct stages, beginning with the harvesting of coconuts from palm trees and finishing in the packaging and shipping of the final product.
Initially, coconuts are collected from the palm trees, a stage where timing significantly affects on quality of the oil. Subsequently, the husks are removed and grated. Following this, the grated pieces are weighed on scales and coconuts are put on loungers and dried under the sun.
The next stage is pressing in which coconut meat is pressed and the oil is extracted with the use of hydraulic press. Following extraction, the liquid is clarified to remove impurities and then filtered. In the final stages, the oil is packaged into various types of bottles and jars before being placed into crates for shipping.
