The process by which orange juice is produced can be outlined in a number of consecutive steps. Overall, there are three main stages of orange juice production, commencing with preparing oranges for production, followed by the manufacturing process itself and finally ending with making them ready for sale. Moreover, the process is a complex one, which mainly requires machinery.
The first step of orange juice production involves picking ripe oranges by hand. Next, the oranges are transported to a factory by special trucks, where the rest of the procedures take place. There, the oranges are washed carefully, removing its dirt and other impurities.
Subsequently, the clean oranges are juiced using a special machine, after which the extracted juice goes through the process of filtering. Then, the filtered juice is pasteurized in order to get rid of all the pathogens and to ensure the product’s durability.
Eventually, an almost-ready product is bottled, before it undergoes the procedures of labeling and packaging. The last stage of orange juice production ends when the products are distributed to supermarkets.
