The table and pie charts illustrate the data about the police budget from 2017 to 2018 in the area of Britain and how this capital was distributed.
Overall, there are two major sources: national government and local taxes. Additionally, money was spent on technology, salaries for officers and staff, and buildings and transport. It is obvious that a great amount of cash was given to workers, while an equal amount was given to construction.
Firstly, in 2017, the collected sum of euros was 304.7 million, and 175.5 million was presented by the ministry, while grants had only 38 million. Nevertheless, taxes invested by locals were 91.2 million. Hence, 75% of that budget was spent on salaries for staff who worked in the police department, while only 8% was spent on technological advances. Additionally, 17% was used for construction and vehicles.
Secondly, in 2018, there was more money than in 2017, because after one term they had 318.6 million. A huge quantity of cash was donated by the government again, and taxes added 10 million more than in the previous year. This time, 69% was invested on salaries, which is less than in 2017 by 6%. However, in the last year, the same amount of money was spent on buildings, while capital dedicated to technology increased noticeably by 6%
