The table compared the police budget sources allocated in three main groups in 2017 and 2018 in an area of Britain, while the pie charts illustrated how these amounts of funding were distributed in two years.
Overall, the majority of the money from National Government, local taxes and others tended to significantly increase, particularly in local sources. Besides that, investing in salaries strongly climbed up compared with technology and infrastructure.
In the table, the state-owned budget always dominated the highest figure, with $175.5m in 2017 and $177,8m in the next year. However, the local taxes experienced a dramatic raise, around 10,1m rather than other sources, just $0,5m. As a result, total police budget sources increased from $304.7m to $318.6m.
In the pie charts, the percentage of salaries for officers, along with staff accounted for the highest proportion in both years, although this figure declined by 6 percent in 2018. By contrast, the expenses for technology sector had particularly expanded, from 8% to 14%, while the investments in buildings and transport remained the same over the two years, 17%.
