The following graph exhibits details of the underground railway systems in London, Paris, Tokyo, Washington DC, Kyoto, and Los Angeles.
As can be seen, each country has a different opening date. Paris has the longest route, while Tokyo has the highest number of passengers annually; however, Kyoto has the shortest route length and the fewest passengers travelling per year.
Tokyo’s underground railway system was founded in 1927, making it the second oldest railway system; therefore, it transports 1927 million people a year, being the most bustling metro out of the diagram. While Paris’s subway has the furthest distance, just under 200 kilometers, it accounts for 1191 million customers yearly.
Kyoto and Los Angeles have roughly the same number of travellers, with Los Angeles standing at 50 million, higher than Kyoto by 5 million. Nonetheless, Kyoto has the shortest metro span, just about 11 kilometers.
