The table compares the number of students studying in different departments, among females, at the University of Australia in 2011.
Overall, the highest percentage of students was in English, with 72% being females. By contrast, the lowest proportion was in English(12%) for students whose first language is not English.
The figure for females ranked first in almost all departments except two: Math(17%) and Chemistry(15). In contrast, the figure for those whose first language is not English ranked second in four departments; the remaining two were English and Modern Languages, while, that for fist language the lowest percentage had in English and Modern languages, but ranked second at the remaining departments.
In students whose born outside Australia, represented highest proportion in Chemistry, Physics, and Math: with 56% and 48%, respectively. While in physics for fwmales were same percent and in Chemistry in firsy language was lower 6 percwntage points than born outside.
