Overall, Sweden recorded by far the highest proportion of tax collected and expirienced the most dramatic growth over the period. Japan and the United States also showed increases, although the rise in the US was relatively modest, while Korea and Turkey displayed noticeable flictuations.
Sweden grew significantly stronger than the other countries, especially after 1995. Japan also showed steadly growth, although it started frow a low base. In contrast, the United States showd only a slight increase over the period.
Korea and Turkey showed no clear linear trend, as their figures fluctuated over time. By 2005, both counties had approached the level of the United States, with all four countries recording figures of around 27-32%, while Sweden remained much highef by around 70%.
