Overall, it can be clearly seen from the chart that the total number of New Zealand citizens slightly rose within one year. While the figure of residents age under 39 groups witnessed an decreased, there was a significant increase in the number of people who aged more than 40 group.
The number of people who aged under 15 decilned slightly during the 2 year period under 1% . Also, there was a slow increase in the number of 15-39 age group between 2011 and 2012 about 0.2%. Moreover, the 15-39 age group still accounted for the lagest number of resident in New Zealand.
However, there was a steep growth in the number of New Zealanders who in aged between 40 and 64 about 0.6%. The number of people more than 65 years rose considerably around 4%, but it still was the lowest of other age groups.
