To start with Kazakhstan, the number of students who studied abroad increased markedly from 15,000 in 2010 to 20,000 in 2015, the highest figure in those years. There was a rise to 24,000 in 2020, making it the second highest figure by the end of the period. With respect to Uzbekistan, the figure was the second highest at the beginning of the period, at 12,000. The number of students who studied abroad saw a sharp increase from 12,000 in 2010 to 25,000 in 2020, peaking at the end of the period.
Finally, the number of students who studied abroad from Kyrgyzstan was the lowest throughout the period. The figures rose from 8,000 in 2010 to 16,000 in 2020.
