The data displays information about the underground railwya system in six different cities across the globe.
Overall, it can be observed that the kilometres and the amount of yearly passengers are in direct proportion with the date of opening of the system. Generally, the later the underground system was set up, the shorther routes ans the less visitors it has. However, there are few exeptions.
It was the London railway system that was built the earliest of all in 1863. Following my above mentioned statement, it owns the longest railway route with 394 kilometres, but is overtaken by other cities regarding annual passengers, such as Paris or Tokyo, with the latter surpassing all with its 1927 millions of people.
Concerning the length of the undergrounds, the data follows the declining trend regularly up until Kyoto, in case of which Los Angles and its 28 kilometres mountain Kyoto’s 11. Furthermore, the exact same thingh can be seen regarding passangers. Though having been built in 1981, the difference in yearly visitors of the railways is 5 million, with the city’s of Los Angeles, constructed in the year of 2001.
