The given table illustrates the the underground railway systems in six different regions. The data recorded in when its date opened, kilometres of route and number of passengers per year.
Overall, it can be seen that London, Paris and Tokyo had the highest passengers using the underground railway per year, while Washington DC, Kyoto and Los Angeles had the lowest commuters per year. Whereas, London had the longest kilometres of route, while Kyoto had the shortest travel time.
Obviously, Tokyo had the greatest traveller who used the underground railway, with 1,927 million in 1927. This was closely followed by Paris at 1,191 millions passengers in 1990, and the third top was London with 775 million passengers in 1863. Meanwhile, there was a smallest usage of underground railways in Kyoto, with 45 millions passengers in 1981.
However, London had the longest rate with 394 kilometres of route, followed by Paris and Tokyo with 199 and 155 respectively. It is also clear that Kyoto had the least rate of route time with 11 kilometres.
