It was observed that the people living in Turkey highly spent their money on Food/Drinks/Tobacco category. Clothing/Footwear section had gained more attention in Italy, while the percentage expenditure in the Leisure/Education section was least compared to other 2 categories.
Among all countries, Sweden’s consumer had spent around 15% of their salary on the Food/Drinks/Tobacco need, which is almost half of the expenditure in the same category by people of Turkey. Turkey had the highest spending among all 5 countries with 32.14% on Food items. Highest expenditure was seen in Food/Drinks/Tobacco category compared to other items.
With exact of 9% of consumer expenditure, Italy lead in buying in more clothing/footwear in the year 2002 among all 5 regions. People living in Ireland, Spain and Turkey spent their hard-earned money on Clothing with consumer expenditure reaching a value of around 6%. Leisure/Education field remained less valued compared to other consumptions. The highest percentage consumption in Leisure/Education field was only of 4% in Turkey.
