The chart illustrates the fact about the spending percentages of consumers on five different countries such as Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden, and Turkey in 2002.
It is clear from the table that basic spending for foods and drinks requirements are the highest among all the sectors while the spendings for the purpose of leisure and education is the lowest in the category. The amount of spends for clothing and footwears are in the second highest one in these countries.
Looking at the consumer expenditure for basic needs for foods and water, Turkey and Ireland cited as around 29% and 32% on each. Likewise, 16.36% of Italy, 18.18% of Spain and 15.77% if Swedan can be found as the higest score in the national consumer expenditure by category in 2002. Futhermore, the consumer spend for the clothes was approximately 9% in all five countires.
In the contrary, the percentage of consumer spendings for their lersuring and educational purpose can be seen around 4% in Italy. Swedan and Turkey, and nearly 2% in the Ireland and Spain, compared to the other sections.
