The table provides information regarding the percentage of adults by four age groups in California who enjoyed six different types of leisure activities in 2011.
Overall, social activities like watching TV and spending time with family/friends were the most enjoyed leisure activities by all age’s groups. Though for people over the age of 31, playing computer games had the lowest proportion of all activities across the three age groups. The least activities for individual based such as gardening and playing video games.
According to the figures, watching Tv was the most enjoyable activity for all ages group increasing from 76% to 89%. In contrast, spending time with family and friends have decreased as people aged, going from almost 60% to 33% of those who over 60s as people spend more time alone.
Other activities, whereas reading declined from 22% for the youngest and 16% for the eldest, conversely the amount of spent gardening increased over the ages start from 7 % to 26%. Additionally, listening to music and playing computer games were the least interesting for people over the age of 46, at about 4% and 2% respectively. While playing video was more popular among young people at around 15 %.
