The table provides information about the amount of produced cocoa beans in six contries in the perion from 1992 to 1998, with two-year gap.
Overall, Africa was in a leading position over the all period, while the cocoa beans production in Occeanis was the lowest.
It is shown that the production of beans in South America steadily decreased from 568 to 333 thousand tons, over the period, while in Africa it increased from 1397 to 1920 thousand tons from 1992 to 1996, then declined to 1822 thousand tons, in 1998.
In Caribbean there was a significant increase in cocoa beans production from 52 to 69 thousand tons from 1992 to 1994, then there was fluctuation of the figure around 69 thousand tons to the end of the period. On other hand, the fluctuation of production was also shown in Asia (415 thousand tons) and North Central American throughout the period, exept for 1994 – in Asia there was a rise of cocoa beans production to 498 thousand tons, but in North Central American the production dropped to 42 thousand tons.
