The table illustrates the results of a survey conducted among members of a city sports group about the group’s activities, facilities, and opening hours.
Overall, most members were satisfied with the club in all three areas. While male members were more satisfied with the variety of activities, the female members showed considerably higher levels of satisfaction with the opening hours. Meanwhile, club facilities were relatively similar between the two groups.
To begin with, the percentage of male members who were very satisfied with the range of activities in the club was higher than female members, 55% and 35% respectively. Although the comparison between satisfied male and female members was quite similar, with 40% for males, and 35% for females, male members were far less satisfied (5%) than female members (30%). For club facilities, the proportion of very satisfied members was almost identical, 64% were females and 63% were males. In addition, the gap between two groups in the satisfied and not satisfied category was moderate, at less than 6%.
Regarding opening hours, the proportion of female members who were very satisfied was the highest at 72%, around 1.6 times the male figure of 44%. Whereas only 3% of female members were not satisfied, the percentage of male members was significantly higher at 37%. The gap in the satisfied category was moderate, at 6 percentage points.
