The presented chart provides information regarding the average hours of unpaid work per week done by married women and men in different categories (without children, with 1-2 children, and with 3+ children). Generally, it is clear that married women spend more time in unpaid work compared to married men in all categories. In addition, married men have similar unpaid work hours in all categories.
To be specific, in the 3+ children category, married women have the longest unpaid work hours, standing at roughly 55. 1-2 children are the next with 50, and without children with the least hours spent at 30. It is apparent that the amount of time spent in unpaid work is increasing throughout the number of children they have.
Turning to married men, we see that the average of unpaid work hours remains consistent for all categories under 20.
