The table informs the amount of newly caught and imported seafood to Perth, Australia in a decade (2004 to 2014). Units are measured in tons. Overall, there are lots of difference in the amount of the fresh fish caught locally rather than bought from overseas during the years. While the domestic catches happens to be low, the overseas buying for seafood in the same year turned out to be much higher.
The biggest amount of imported fresh fish happened in the year of 2011 which is around 1030 tons. However, those that harvested domestically is eight times bigger, which is around 8136 tons in 2008.
In addition, the numbers of both local catches of seafood and the imported ones are similarly fluctuated throughout the decade. The amount of the local catches seafood experienced gradual decreases although in 2014 the number increased with about over 150 tons more compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the imported fish saw an increase in numbers between 2004 and 2010 before being shifted in the following year.
