The table illustrates how much waste was produced in various countries in the years 1980, 1990, and 2000, covering a span of 20 years.
It is clear that the United States is the largest contributor to waste output during the period. In fact, there are gradual increases in all nations, except for a decline in Korea.
To begin with, the UK accounted for 131 million tons of waste materials, while Japan generated 28 million tons, which is seven times greater than Poland in 1980. However, figures for Korea were not given. Additionally, there was an increase of 20 million ton in waste production in the UK in 1990, while Korea and Japan accounted for 31 million and 32 million tons, respectively.
It can be seen that Ireland and Portugal contributed the same figures, both at 5 million tons. However, there was a decline compared to the figures from 10 years earlier. Finally, the US contributed 192 million tons, which is roughly ten times greater than Korea (19 million tons).
