The table and the pie chart displays the mean quantity of money spent per month on the variety of things available by four different age groups, and the proportion of entire spending on the diverse categories of products by the same age group during the year 2020.
Overall, it is observed that the expenditure on Food and Health follow an upward trend, whereas an opposite movement can be seen in case of Clothing, Entertainment, and Education.
The age group of 18-25 spend relatively less on food items, with a total expense of just above $200. However, as the age gap increases, so does the expenditure, with people aged between 46-55 spending nearly $500 on refreshments. Health sees a similar nature of spending with the younger generation spending a little over $20, while the aged people disposing nearly $150.
Clothing, Entertainment, and Education on the other hand, saw an inverse relationship between age and spending. No money is spent by age groups of 36-45 and 46-55 on Education.
