The chart illustrates the ratio of employees suffering from work-related stress in five different sectors, namely healthcare, education, retail, construction, and technology, between 2010 and 2020.
Overall, the percentage of healthcare workers remained dominant in both years, while people working in retail maintained the lowest proportion. Moreover, all fields recorded more pressure over the 10 years.
As seen from the table, the ratio of workers in healthcare under pressure was 46% in 2010 and rose significantly, peaking at 63% in 2020. A similar upward trend was also recorded in education, which climbed from 31% in 2010 to 52% in 2020. Besides, from 2010 to 2020, the rates of people working in technology and construction witnessed a moderate growth which began at 26% and 34% in 2010 and went up to 31% and 39%, respectively. Lastly, the proportion of retail workers also recorded a slight rise, from 22% in 2010 to 27% in 2020, but it still remained the lowest rank.
