The given table illustrates the proportion of males and females in various aspects of jobs in every decade from 1990 to 2010. Generally speaking, manufacturing reached the peak point in 1990 for men while it was the smallest degree after three decades for women. Notably, a large share of women is present in tourism industry during the given period. it is also worth-noting that, in the retailing aspect the percentage of working there men showed no change in all three decades.
Focusing on the production and sale areas first, in retailing and shops men workforce was consistent throughout the period showing constant 13%, while women’s’ percentage increased by 1% each decade starting from 7%. Although in the manufacturing aspect men reached their maximum(30%) in the 1990, it declined to a half of it demonstrating 15% in 2000. However,men’s peak at manufacturing turned into the smallest level for women at the end of the period (3%).
Apart from the job areas above, in tourism women make the biggest share of employment— 23%,25%,27%— which had increased by 2% every decade. However, in the beginning, men showed the same results as they did in the retail and shop areas, but in the 2000 it declined to a 10% and stayed same until the end of the period. In health area, both two genders increased, though proportion of men employment remained same 7% in the first score years.
