The table gives information about the percentage of lawyers working in different spheres in a certain country in 2001 and 2016.
Overall, it is clear that there are three main categories of job choices of male and female lawyers, which are private lawyer, business and governmantal field. There are other professions which are also chosen by lawyers. The most common job field among both, male and female lawyers, throughout the years, is government.
In 2001, the number of men and women lawyers choosing business sphere were the same, both showing the percentages of 14%, which is also the lowest percentage amongst all listed job fields. The second least popular category is being a private lawyer with 15% and 17% of male and female lawyers in it, respectively. The majority of lawyers in 2001 chose governmental work, involving 45% of men and 41% of women lawyers. The other spheres are ,approximately, average, including 26% of men and 28% of women professionals.
In 2016, governmental field remained the most popular among lawyers. However, male lawyers choosing this job slightly decreased compared to 2001 to 38%, while female lawyers percentage rose to 42%. Male lawyers percentage in business remained unchanged, while businesswomen number increased to 21%.
