Overall, lawyers are more inclined to choose a government posts for both genders. Whereas, the figures of business lawyers are the lowest.
In 2001, government career dominated the choice of lawyers for males and females, at 45% and 41% each, followed by other options at 26% for men compared to women at 28%. Both, private and business accounted moderate shares, at 15% and 14%, respectively for men. In comparison, women had similar or higher percentages, at 17% and 14% each.
Turning to 2016, male government lawyers decreased to 38% while females shares increased to 42%. In contrast, others posts showed a grow of male figures, reaching 29% for men, compared to 16% for women. Both business and private lawyers reported a significant increase for females, at 21% while men figures either remained or increased substantialy, at 14% and 19% each.
