The chart illustrates the proportion of females in the workforce and managers across five different countries namely Australia, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Japan and the United States.
Overall, It can be clearly seen that Japan accounted for the largest percentage of women in the workforce, while women in Australia and The United States worked mostly as managers.
Looking at the chart in more detail, at 48%, the percentage of women in the workforce was the highest, which was followed by 46% of Americans. Additionally, 42% of women in Australia were employees, which was 22% higher than the figure for Egypt. The proportion of females in the workforce in Sri Lanka made up 41%, which was close to the overall average of five countries.
Turning to the percentage of women managers, The United States and Australia were the biggest, standing at 43%. 17% of women in Japan worked as managers, followed by 12% of women in Egypt. Meanwhile, the figure for Sri Lanka accounted for the smallest, only 9%.
