The table illustrates present data ont the number of death and birth between 1960 and 2000, as well as the maximum age of females and males.
Overall, births gained a noticeable increase through decades and start gradually decrease until the end of the period, while deaths keep rose steadily until 2000.
On one hand, births rate rose from 40.000 in 1960 and reach its peak in 1980 with 50.000. However, this number start decreasing sharply in 1990 with only 32.000, until in 2000 it slightly increased to 36.000. In contrast, deaths increased continuously, from 8.000 in 1960 to 28.000 in 1990, and then rose significantly in 2000 reaching its peak with 40.000.
On the other hand, the maximum age of female keep increasing from 67 in 1960, and reach 76 in 2000. Similar pattern can be also observed for males. It started with 65 in 1960, and finished with 75 in 2000. Furthermore, females consistenly outlived males by one or two years in each period.
