The table compares foreign travelers number (in the unit of millions) providing its increasing rate in nine different countries between 2009 and 2010.
In general, the sequences didn’t change in the number of foreign tourist arrivals, with experiencing a significant increase in all those countries, except a negligible decrease in Hong Kong international arrivals. Notably, France maintained the same level of attracting visitors, whereas, a twofold rise was true for Germany.
In four countries, namely the USA, Spain, the UK and Italy, the units of travelers saw a minimal growth, multiplying by 1 and 2 millions in their starting point of 44, 55, 55 and 66, respectively. On the contrary, there was a static picture at 76 million arrivals yearly in France, a figure being the highest amongst all 9 countries’ airlines in the latter year.
On the other hand, Hong Kong lost 1 million foreign guests’ attention in a year, down from 10 million in 2009. However, in three countries, like Turkey, China and Germany, a remarkable upward trend was seen, going up by a combined total of 200%, up from 33, 22 and 11 to 45, 34 and 23 million comers, respectively.
