The given table illustrates the amount of money the USA, EU countries and others distributed to developing nations between 2006 and 2010.

Overall, as can be seen from the table, it is clear that financial aid increased throughout the surveyed period. While the USA was the largest sponsor, EU and other developed countries contributed relatively decent amounts of money.

In 2006, the US aided developing countries with $9.8 million, followed by $3.1 million from EU nations and $2.8 million from others. The amounts of money distributed by these countries rose steadily in the next 2 years before witnessing a slight dip of $0.3 million in 2009.

At the end of the surveyed period, the USA continued to take the lead, with $20.3 million given to developing countries. The financial aid from EU and other regions was around one-fifth of that of the USA’s, with $4.1 million from EU and $3.7 million from other countries. Despite a decline of $0.9 million in 2009, the total aid from all surveyed nations nearly doubled from 15.7 to 28.1 million.
