This rise was mainly driven by air and rail transport, which demonstrated the figures at 2 and 38, respectively, at the beginning of the period. In 2005, air transport increased four times from 2 to 8, while the use of rail rose by 10. According to predictions, these transport types usage will experience significant growth making up 20 by air and 60 by rail.
In contrast, the busses represented the highest figures in 1995 accounting for 56 but still declined, albeit slowly. Subsequently, the busses decreased to 50 and are forecast to go down modestly to 42, which means it will be overtaken by the rail vehicles.
Meanwhile, bicycle and motorbike showed low variation with slightly decreasing by 1-2 figures both and predicted to rise slightly by 1 and 3 points, respectively.
