The table compares the number of universities ranked top 200 worldwide in biology, medicine and psychology across five countries in 2011. Overall, while biology had the most universities, medicine had the fewest. The most ranked country was the USA, while the least was New Zealand. Other countries also had some priorities.
It is interesting to note, that these 2 countries had the highest number of top universities, such as the USA, the most university ranked top 200 there was biology with 69, fewer was psychology, which had 58 universities. Medicine had 54 universities ranked 200 in the USA. However, the UK had fewer top ranked universities, but still a lot. The highest number was in biology, it had 30, followed by psychology with 29 and medicine 24 universities.
Next three universities had fewer top universities than previous ones. Australia had 9 biologic universities, but with big differences there were more psychological universities, and 13 for medicine. New Zealand had the fewest universities. With medicine was problem, because it was only 2 universities for it, psychology either, there also was only 4, but biology fared better, because it had 6 universities. However, in Canada there were more universities and more chances to study, such as biology, there was 9 universities ranked top 200 in the world, more than it were medicine and psychology, 12 and 14 universities.
