The number of various types of transportations in 4 different countries in 2018 is compared in the table whereas the purposes of car transportations among Canadians are shown in the bar chart, both in percentage units.

Overall, it can be seen that every single country used cars the most while the almost least way of transportation was the alternative ways. Furthermore, Canadian people used cars the most because they did not have other alternative ways.

To begin with, regarding the table, the most popular transportation method was cars. 90% of Canadian people used cars while there were 72%, 68% and 47% of Belgium, Germany and Netherland, respectively. In Canada, the least popular way was by bicycle and the other ways, at only 1%. Moreover, there was the same trend that alternative ways were the least in Germany and the Netherlands. However, in Belgium, the least way of transportations was by bicycle, at approximately 2%.

The bar chart shows the factor that caused people to use cars in Canada. Firstly, the main reason for those people was because they didn’t have alternative ways, at approximately 38%. Secondly, the middle bar, which was the fact that people drove the cars for their occupations, accounted for less than a third (30%). Finally, the rest of the reasons were convenience, quicker and night-shift which comprised about 22%, 12% and 8%, respectively.
