The table compares information about women’s roles in government and management in 2000 in five different countries.
At first glance, it is clear that Australia had the highest number of female workers involved in the governance and management, whereas Japan illustrated the lowest percentage of women working in both those fields.
Turning to details, Australia and Denmark demonstrated leadership in the participation of women in both disciplines, reaching 48% and 41% as the highest legislature leaders, respectively, and showing the same result of 46% in management. While the US placed second in the positions of women in management processes with 35% and in the legislature with 27%, Egypt showed relatively low percent of the representation of women in those areas, accounting for 25% and 20% respectively.
Meanwhile, the involvement of female employees in Japan stood at 12% of total seats in parliament leaders and 10% of total managers, showing the lowest result among other countries.
