The provided Table illustrates 6800 Scottish people’s (aged from 16 years and over) view whether they were involved in various cultural activities over the past 12 months.
Overall, the participants of all age groups were involved in performance and crafts, which tend to be the most popular activities among these six categories. While, computer based activities took the lowest level of participation.
To begin, the majority of 16-24 aged community showed the highest number of percentages in comparison to the older groups. Likewise, performance with 35% and visual arts with 30% reached the top level with a difference of 5% and then followed by writing at 17%. In contrast, any other activities such as undertaking crafts and cultural purchases remained lower number within 11% especially those computer based tasks that scored only 10%.
Moving on to the older age groups, the highest involvement rate of 25-44 years olds was seen in performances too, with 22%. Then cultural performances and crafts took second place at 17% each. While majority of 45-74 years olds voted for crafts with 22% and cultural purchases with 18%. In comparison to the youngest class older aged people did not preferred visual arts.
Analyzing all age crowd, it can be seen that performance and crafts were the most popular, at over 19%. However, writing and computer based activities were not well liked by the crowd, for whole rate.
