The tables compare the sales of fairetrade label coffee and bananas in five different countries between 1999 and 2004.
It is clear that the highest percentage of people sold coffee in the UK. By contrast, the proportion of people who sales banana in Switzerland was highest in the given years.
In terms of coffee, the percentage of people sales coffee in the UK 1.5 millions euros in 1999 to 20 million euros in 2004, a rise of 18 million euros. While, there was an increase in the proportion of people sales coffee in Switzerland from 3 million euros to 6 million euros an increase of 3 million euros over a period of 5 years. 2, 1.7 and 1 million euros for sales coffee in Denmark, Belgium and Sweden accordingly.
On the other hand, the number of people sales fairetrade bananas in Switzerland figures jumped from 15 to 47 million euros across these five years, While in the UK and Belgium sales only grew from 1 to 5.5 and from 0.6 to 4 million euros respectively. Sweden and Denmark saw a decrease in the both years.
