For bananas, Switzerland had the highest sales, climbing to 47 million from 15 million. The UK also saw a significant increase of 4.5 million throughout the years, and Belgium saw a notable increase from 0.6 million in 1999 to 4 million in 2004. However, banana sales declined in Sweden and Denmark, from 1.8 to 1 million and from 2 to 0.9 million, respectively.
