The table demonstrates the amount of waste produced in six countries, between 2000 to 2020, measured as tons.
Overall, the amount of waste from all six countries increased in the whole period. America and China are the two countries produced the most amount of waste, while Japan has the lowest record. Importantly, China has the fastest increasement and surpass America in the last period.
In 2000, America produced around 236 tons of waste, highest in six countries. The amount still increases gradually and in 2020, America hit 289 tons of waste. Although it still increases but only increase gradually, not rapidly. China starts at 123 tons of waste and it increases throughout the time period. 20 years later, they hit 305 tons, became the country produce the most amount of waste. This is the highest increasement in the whole table and also the most notable change. In the start, America’s amount of waste is higher than China, and the gap between them gradually shrinks in the whole period. And in 2020, China passed America. This shows China’s rapid speed in increasing their amount of waste, even faster than America.
In terms of the other four countries, from India to Japan, India’s waste increased from 62 tons to 200 tons, stays behind America and China and shows no signs of decline. This is the country with a gradual increasement in the 4 countries. Germany’s waste rise from 49 to almost 59 tons, while Brazil increases from 38 to 52 tons. Both of these countries have a stable increasement than the top 3 countries. Japan increases slightly from 21 to 23 tons of waste, became the country that produce the least amount of waste in the entire period, and this country doesn’t show any signs of fluctuation either. The gap between Japan and the leading countries rose gradually in the last period.
