The data given the number of New Zealand imports from Australia and Japan over the ten year period, from 1994 – 2004.
It is evident that the overall trend of New Zealand imports from Australia were double in ten year period, while the import from Japan were decreasing overall. It is also interesting to know that New Zealand imports industry reliant more on Australia than Japan in the overall trend.
Regarding the first line graph, New Zealand imports from Australia was fluctuate over the ten year period, starting from 4000 NZ$million in 1994, doubling to 8000 NZ$million in 2004. The New Zealand imports from Australia reached the lowest number of import, at 3000 NZ$million in 1999.
Despite the New Zealand imports from Japan started at 3000 NZ$million, which was only 1000 NZ$million lower than the number of import from Australia, but during the ten year period, the overall imports from this country were decreasing and lower from the started point as well. The import from Japan were increased in the first four year, reaching it peak at slightly over 6000 NZ$million in 1997, but technically declining to 2000 NZ$million in 2004.
