The tables illustrate the average number of daily sales of iPhone and Samsung phones in the five countries in 2010 and 2020.
Overall, sales of both brands generally increased between 2010 and 2020. Vietnam recorded by far the largest growth in iPhone sales, while Bangladesh remained the biggest market for Samsung phones despite declines in Zambia and Algeria.
By 2020, iPhone sales rose significantly in Vietnam, from 3,500 to 46,000. The figures for Bangladesh also showed substantial growth, rising from 6,900 to 13,800. By contrast, more modest increases were recorded in Algeria, Iraq and Zambia, where sales rose to 5,200, 3,900 and 2,000 respectively.
The sales in Bangladesh remained the highest in both years, increasing from 34,500 to 108,100. A more moderate increase was seen in Vietnam and Iraq, where sales rose to 8,100 and 7,100. However, there was a slight decline in Algeria and Zambia, falling to 2,300 and 2,100 respectively.
