The picture above illustrates an infographic regarding the average number of Iphones and Samsung phones sold daily in 5 random countries during the years 2010 and 2020.
These 5 countries all appear to be either third world or developing countries. Starting off with the number of Iphones sold in 2010 by the 5 countries, we can see that there is a significant difference between the number of Iphones sold in 2010 and 2020 which shows a rising increase in demand for smartphones in the five countries, the number of Iphones and Samsungs sold in 2010 are similar for both countries, except for a colossal demand in Samsungs in Bangladesh which shows that the Bangladeshi locals might prefer Samsungs over IPhones.
Moving on to the number of phones sold in 2020, we can see that the number of daily phone purchases has greatly risen over the 10 years, except for Algeria and Zambia where the number of Samsungs sold daily in 2020 has decreased compared to 2010 and the number of IPhones sold has also remained constant for those two countries, it could be because there are other phone brands which are more prominent and more widely used by the locals because they find them easily accessible/cheaper.
All in all, we can conclude that there is a direct proportion between the calendar year and the daily number of phones sold regardless of make or model in developing countries, since as countries develop people’s mindsets also develop and more and more would want to be up to date with the latest news.
