As for production, Asia/Oceania demonstrated the highest proportion of production, whereas South and Central America had the lowest.
Focusing on Europe, it had the highest potato consumption at 96.1 kg, followed by North America at 57.9 kg. Moreover, Asia/Oceania stood at 25.8 kg, and South and Central America was at 23.6 kg, while Africa had the lowest potato consumption at 14.1 kg.
When it comes to potato production, Asia/Oceania led the chart among the five regions at 131.2 million, followed by Europe with the second-highest harvested potatoes at 126.3 million. Furthermore, North America reported 24.7 million and Africa recorded 16.4 million, while South and Central America showed the lowest production at 15.6 million.
