The table presents the approximate learning ratio by region and gender for 2000 to 2004.
Overall, European and American individual had highest education rate, while africa had lowest. In all regions, literacy rate for males were higher then females. The largest gap was recognized in Africa, whereas the difference was smallest in Europe.
First of all, Europe had an overall literacy ratio was 98.8%, with the 99.2% males and 98.5% females were educated. America had second largest learning rate which is 93.6% in which 94.1% males and 93.2% females being literate. Ocenia had similar ratio of 93.4%, with 94.2% of males and 92.7% of females.
In contrast, Africa had lowest literacy level, which is only 62.5%. In addition, male rate was 71.6%, compared with 53.9% for females, showing a significant difference. Asia had totally 79.3% pupils, meanwhile the rates for males and females were 85.9% and 72.5%, respectively.
To sum up all, the data shows that education was significantly higher among men the women, mainly in Africa and Asia
